Congressman Comes to Class Plus...

U.S. Congressman Brett Guthrie came to speak with my Legislative Process class yesterday. You can see some of WKU's finest paying closing attention to almost every word. A&H had their second to last basketball practices yesterday - just two more games. We sign up for baseball and softball on Sunday. Heather's academic team had their last practice match before Districts yesterday. The carpet guy is coming on Friday morning. Our goal is to have our house ready to go on the market by April 1st.

Happy Valentine's Day

We made it through Valentine's Day. We started bright and early with basketball at 8:15. Annee and Hayden both played at the same time so we had to go back and forth. We had our Valentine's lunch at Shogun. It was the first time for 3 of us - Heather had been there before. A&H seemed to have a good time although Hayden wasn't enamored with the food. Annee also attended a birthday party at Spa Fabulous where she was pampered like a princess.

Slow Week

Not a whole lot new this week. Adding another picture from the Book Character Parade and a picture of Heather and I before we headed out to the Warren Republican Party Lincoln Day Reception. Republican Leader Mitch McConnell was the featured speaker. It was a warm up for a special election held on Tuesday to fill the vacant State Senate seat. The election did not turn out very well. Annee had a trip to the dentist on Wednesday for some sealants. Kids play hoops at 8:15 on Valentine's Day and then we are hitting Shogun as a family. It will be first time there for all except Heather.

Briarwood Book Character Parade

It is Love of Reading Week this week at Briarwood and they had their annual Book Character Parade. A&H were Jack and Annie from the Magic Tree House Books. We are trying to talk Hayden into being Captain Underpants next year. We have basketball again this weekend. A&H play on Saturday and we'll go the Lady Toppers game on Sunday.

Back to School

It was back to school today for Annee, Hayden, and Heather. Many of the surrounding counties are still out, a couple indefinitely. Saturday was filled with basketball. A&H both did a very good job at their games and then we went to the WKU-North Texas game in the evening. Below are a couple pictures from the game. WKU won and is now 8-2 in the conference.
