Father's Day

I had a great Father's Day. We went up to Louisville for the day and hung out with the Chlarsons. After hitting Old Chicago for lunch, we went to Churchill Downs and introduced Annee and Hayden to the world of betting. We spent a couple of hours at the track and then went to watch Louisville Bats play the Durham Bulls before heading home.

Lasley Sports Update

Annee and Hayden have wrapped up their softball and baseball seasons. In terms of wins and losses, Annee and the Huskies had a much more successful season than the Cubs. The Huskies won the 8 and under tournament. The Cubs weren't so lucky. Hayden did show significant improvement and played first base most of the season. A&H have also wrapped up their summer camps. Annee went to volleyball camp at WKU and is able to play in the county league this year. Hayden went to the Warren Central and Greenwood basketball camps. His 3 on 3 team was victorious at the Greenwood Camp.

Furniture

It looks like guests will have a place to sit, Heather and I will have a place to sleep, and I'll have a spot to work when we move in. We have fulfilled another of Heather's goals by purchasing bedroom furniture. We are so grown up now. Also picked up some living room furniture that should be big enough for us and found an L-shaped desk for the den. New levels of productivity will be reached soon.

Tempatures Rise: Tournaments and House Completion Looms

In case we forgot it was summer, the daily temperatures have served as clear reminders. Annee and Hayden have been busy with camps and games. Annee completed Girl Scout camp last week and is attending volleyball camp at WKU this week. Hayden is attending basketball camp at Warren Central High School this week and will attend the one at Greenwood next week. The leader of Hayden's group is George Fant who has received offers from WKU, Butler, and Oklahoma State. Hayden's baseball tournament starts Thursday and Annee's softball tourney starts Wednesday. Work continues on the house - been busy looking at furniture and discussed closet design today. Getting pretty close to the end!

Progress

Progress is being made on our soon to be new abode. Tile is being laid. Cabinets are being hung. Today we selected light fixtures and appliances and finalized plumbing fixtures. Carpet is the last major decision that we need to make. Things are looking good.

Run Dad Run

On Memorial Day I competed in my first 5k. Although not particularly fleet of feet, I did survive and finish in 29:07. I also had the best cheering section of any runner. We'll keep you posted as training continues for bigger and better things.

Did I catch her?

Yes, I did!

Did I make it to the finish?

Summer Time

It took a bit longer than expected, but summer has finally started here. Heather, Annee and Hayden even survived school on Saturday. Below are some pictures from the end of the year. Annee is attending the Greenwood Girls Basketball Camp this week and has Girl Scouts Camp next week. Hayden has made it to the pool every day it has been open. We are also busy with baseball and softball. Annee's Huskies are now 3-2 but have had a couple of games rained out. Hayden's Cubs are now 1-4 in their division but have four games in the next 9 days.
