Will the snow ever stop?

Starting to think that the snow will never stop. Heather, Annee and Hayden missed Wednesday and Thursday this week. The last five day week of school they had was December 6-10. Spring semester started atWKU this week so I do have a 5-day week. Hayden's Hawks rolled to their fourth consecutive victory on Monday with a 19-12 win. Annee's Sun were not as successful on Tuesday losing 18-14. The Sun are back in action Saturday while the Hawks play again on Monday. Below is a picture from last Saturday's halftime performance by the Girl Scouts at the WKU's women's game. Annee is in the middle of the photo.

More Stinkin' Snow

Thursday evening brought more snow to Bowling Green. This meant early departure for school on Thursday and no school on Friday. Also led to no basketball games for Annee & Hayden on Saturday. The snow did provide A&H the opportunity to do some sledding at Briarwood. Annee is doing a Girl Scout dance camp today. She will perform at half time of the WKU Women's game this afternoon. WKU Men are also at home tonight so we'll get a double dose of hoops.

Christmas!

We had a great Christmas but we did make a couple breaks from what had been our tradition. First, we had a white Christmas - something that we try to avoid. Second, we opened the bulk of our presents on Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve. Christmas Eve was slowed a bit by Annee not feeling 100%. Her and I missed a good chunk of the church service getting her back and forth to the restroom. The Chlarsons made it down for another Music City Bowl and New Year's celebration. We hosted several neighbors for our New Year's Eve festivities.

Heather made sure that Hayden and I were prepared appropriately for the Music City Bowl. Tennessee played North Carolina this year.

Looks like someone is getting old.

More Atlanta - Aquarium & World of Coca-Cola

We spent most of the day before the Hawks game hanging out downtown Atlanta. We strolled through Centennial Park and went to the Georgia Aquarium and the World of Coca-Cola. All were a big hit.

A&H with Dr. John Pemberton - the founder of Coca-Cola.

Touching the sharks, rays, starfish, and sea anemones was a major highlight of the aquarium visit.

The mermaid show was very impressive. The mermaids performed to Christmas carols in the large tank that had sharks and sting rays.

More Atlanta - Hawks & American Girl

Annee and Hayden received their first Christmas presents of the season while in Atlanta. Hayden received an Orlando Magic shirt and tickets for the Hawks-Magic game. The game might have been a present for Heather also. She is a big fan of Dwight Howard. Annee received money to spend at the American Girl store in Atlanta.

Atlanta - King Historical Site

The week before Christmas we made a quick trip down to Atlanta. One of the highlights was visiting the Martin Luther King, Jr. Historical Site.

Ebenezer Baptist Church where King and his father were pastors.

Fall

Fall brought Halloween and the primary musicals. Annee and Hayden performed opposite nights. Hayden was Corporal Schnauzer and Annee played the role of Dali Dalmatian. We have video clips of the performances that we will try to get posted soon. Halloween was big in the new house. Much more traffic than at our old place. A&H went trick or treating with the neighbors. Annee was a Pink Witch and Hayden was Ndamukong Suh. Heather and her 1st grade teaching friends went as chefs.
