Grandparents Tour - 4k on the 4th

Annee, Heather, and I participated in Gordon's 4k on the 4th. Grandma Connee, Kylie, Heather's Uncle Rick and Aunt Ellen also participated. I completed the 4k in 19:41 which was pretty good for me. Heather and Uncle Rick were among the first three walkers to cross the finish line. Annee did a great job completing the full distance. She started walking with Heather and Rick but finished with Grandma Connee.

Grandparents Tour - Big Springs

En route to Gordon on Day 2 of the trip, we made a short detour to Big Springs. We checked out the Veterans Memorial for the first time. Below is a picture of the memorial and Heather's Granddad's (Lewis B. Fox) name on the list of veterans.

We're Home

We have returned to Bowling Green from our annual Grandparents Tour. The trip was a great success, but we have come to the conclusion that 18 days is too long to be away from home. Particular highlights from this year's trip include a trip to Scottsbluff/Gering to see (Great)Grandma and Grandpa Yusten (it has been a couple of years since we last saw them) and extra time spent with cousins.

The Trip by Numbers
3900 Miles - driven on the trip
$2750 - approximate cost for the trip
$700 - spent on gas
271 Pictures - pictures from the trip will be posted soon
30 Trips - down the waterslide in Redwood Falls by Hayden on the Saturday of our visit there
18 Days - the length of the trip
13 Rides - ridden by Annee, Hayden, Eddie, and me at Mall of America (Heather got to sneak in a little extra shopping)
9 States - including A&H's first visit to Kansas
8 Grandparents - visited (including 2 Great)
6 Sets - of aunts and uncles
4 Baseball Games - 3 featuring cousins and the Sioux Falls Pheasants
2 Taco Johns - should have been more but we also hit two Fuddruckers
