End of Volleyball, WKU Wins, Swim Meet, & Football Update

Heather and Annee's volleyball season came to a close on Saturday. They had another successful year losing just one match for the second straight year. She has a week or two off before basketball starts. Annee also participated in her first indoor swim meet. The competition is a bit stiffer than she generally faced this summer. She swam the 100 Free, 50 Breast, 100 Back, 50 Fly, and swam on a 200 Medley Relay. The 50 Fly seemed to be her strongest event. She is probably going to swim again in two weeks at a meet in Owensboro. In football, the Colts ran their record to 7-0 with a 42-14 win over the Giants. They have three more regular season games including a big one next Saturday against the Steelers. Hayden's friend Patrick joined Hayden and I at WKU's Homecoming game against Louisiana-Lafayette. WKU won their third straight game, but more importantly it was their first home win since 2008. Hayden & Patrick joined the crowd that stormed the field after the win.

Annee won her heat of the butterfly. We'll get more detailed results later in the week.

Wrapping Up Fall Break

We spent the last day at Disney at Hollywood Studios. We were able to get a couple more rides on the Rock-n-Roller Coaster and also hit Toy Story Midway Mania and Tower of Terror one last time. On the way home Saturday we made a quick stop in at The Varsity in Atlanta. The Varsity has been featured on a number of shows on the Travel Channel and the Food Network.

A quick stop at The Varsity in Atlanta. It is a cultural experience.

Thursday - Return to Magic Kingdom

We returned to Magic Kingdom on Thursday. Got to go on Space Mountain a couple of more times and did three trips on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Took pictures with the princesses. Hayden seemed to particularly enjoy his time with the ladies.

Disney World is in the midst of a major expansion of Fantasyland. They are adding a couple of new rides and a Be Our Guest restaurant.

Wednesday - Animal Kingdom

We spent Wednesday at Animal Kingdom. Animal Kingdom closed before the other parks so we ventured off site to have dinner at NBA City at Universal's CityWalk area.

The Lion King show at AK.

On the Kilimanjaro Safari

Winding through Kali Rapids - at least two of us seemed to get wetter than the others!

The following set of pictures are of Expedition Everest. Hayden and I were able to ride it 5 times and Annee got four rides in. The coaster heads in reverse when it reaches the dead end. The views from the top of the coaster are pretty awesome.
