Fall Break - Sunday
We made to within about an hour of Disney World on Saturday. Somehow we took a brief detour on a gravel/sand road en route to the hotel, but finally made it. After in checking in at the All-Star Sports Resort Sunday morning, we spent the day at Epcot.
A&H generating enough energy to power Paris. It is an interactive game when you exit Spaceship Earth.

Talent Show & Acolyte
On the Thursday before fall break Annee participated in the Briarwood Talent Show. Her crew performed to These Boots are Made for Walkin'. Below is a post-show picture. This morning Annee made her debut as an acolyte at church. She did a good job. Hayden was supposed to do it last Sunday but we were out of town.

Fall Sports Update
With Fall Break rapidly approaching it is time for a Fall sports update. Annee and Heather are six games into their volleyball season. They are both doing an outstanding job. The Superstars are 5-1 on the season. They lost a close 3 game match on Saturday. Grandma Ann and Grandpa Jimmy were able to catch a couple of her games while they were here for a visit. They also caught one of Hayden's football games. The Colts are unbeaten at 4-0. The tougher part of the schedule comes after break. Hayden is playing center again. All four Lasleys participated in the Run for the Fight/Roo Bear Run on September 24th. I ran and Heather walked the 5k. Annee and Hayden participated in the 1 mile fun run. I set my course record for the 5k after setting a personal best on Labor Day. Annee is continuing to swim and dance. Her first swim meet will be in a little less than month.

Fall Sports Getting Started
Fall sports are getting started for Heather, Annee, and Hayden. Heather is coaching Annee's volleyball team again. They had their first practice last night. I serve as an occasional assistant. Annee has also moved up to the Silver group from Bronze for swimming. This means that she swims another day and for a bit longer. She has also started her Tap class on Fridays. Hayden is on the second week of football practice. They start in full pads on Thursday.
Grandparents Tour - Scottsbluff
One of the highlights of the Grandparents Tour was our trip to Scottsbluff. It was the first trip to Scottsbluff for three of us and the first time we had seen Great G'ma and G'pa Yusten in a few years. We had a fantastic lunch at Uncle Bob and Aunt Vic's and then went to the Wyo-braska Museum of Natural History.

4th Graders
Today was the first day of school for Heather, Annee, and Hayden. Heather has 31 5th graders including two students that live just down the block from us. Annee has Mrs. Johnson this year, while Hayden has Mrs. Zinobile. Mrs. Zinobile's daughter Allison is in Annee's class. Allison and Annee have played on the same softball team the past two years with Allison's dad as the coach.

Update
We have been busy wrapping up summer activities and getting ready for the school year. The first day for students is Tuesday (the 9th). Heather has been getting ready for the change to 5th grade and had three PD days this week. Annee attended the Greenwood Volleyball Camp and wrapped up summer swimming the Saturday after our return to Bowling Green. We got to spend about 9 hours at the pool in Glasgow on our first Saturday back. Hayden was pretty excited about that. Annee is going to continue swimming during the school year for RACE Aquatics. She is also signed up for dance and volleyball. Hayden went to the Greenwood Football Camp. He got to spend a couple hours a day running around in 95 degree weather. He starts football practice on the 15th.

Grandparents Tour - 4k on the 4th
Annee, Heather, and I participated in Gordon's 4k on the 4th. Grandma Connee, Kylie, Heather's Uncle Rick and Aunt Ellen also participated. I completed the 4k in 19:41 which was pretty good for me. Heather and Uncle Rick were among the first three walkers to cross the finish line. Annee did a great job completing the full distance. She started walking with Heather and Rick but finished with Grandma Connee.

Particular highlights from this year's trip include a trip to Scottsbluff/Gering to see (Great)Grandma and Grandpa Yusten (it has been a couple of years since we last saw them) and extra time spent with cousins.
