Out Like a Lamb

We are wrapping up March with a beautiful day - in the 70s! Been a while since the last post. We celebrated Heather's birthday last week. I am not going down as one the of the greats giving presents but I believe that I did better than some other years. The big ticket item was a new tv for the bedroom. Softball has started for Annee and we are having Hayden's team meeting tomorrow for baseball. Progress continues on the house. They have been working on the HVAC system, wiring, and plumbing. Bricking should start soon. We head to DC on Tuesday! We are very much looking forward to it!!

Hayden finished his Lego projects! He is ready for another trip to the Mall of America!

Holes in the Head

Annee Lou got her ears pierced for her birthday. The girls went to the mall Saturday after Hayden's party. Rumor has it she was quite brave.

Looking a bit apprehensive about what is to come!

The green dot marks the spot.

Bam!

All done!

Art Show

The highly sophisticated and cultured Lasley family took Grandma Connee to an art exhibition during her stay in Bowling Green. The art gallery at the Capitol was having an exhibit featuring work from elementary students in Bowling Green and Warren County. Hayden was one of the students from Briarwood who had their art selected for display.

8 Years Old!!

A&H's birthday celebration continued today. They celebrated with treats at school and Grandma Connee joined them for lunch before heading back to Nebraska. El Mazatlan was the choice for their birthday supper. The highlight of having birthday dinner there is getting ice cream smeared on your face. We finally caved and bought them each a DS. It was pretty quiet here after they opened presents. We get back to a couple of days of normal before gearing up for Heather's birthday next week!

Birthday Time (Annee's Turn)

Annee had her American Girl themed birthday party on Sunday. She had five friends over to participate in Molly's Mystery Party Game. Overall, things were a bit calmer than on Saturday. There were even roles for Grandma Connee and Hayden.

Birthday Time (Hayden's Turn)

We are in the midst of birthday weekend. Today was Hayden's turn, Annee's is tomorrow. Grandma Connee is here to join in the fun and games. Hayden had some friends over for a football and basketball themed party. The highlight was the cake and kickball. Annee and Hayden also attended a birthday party each today.

Bedtime!

Thanks Grandma Connee.

Work began almost immediately upon returning home.

The old man was able to show the kids a little something on the kickball field.

It's Been a While...

It has been while since the blog has been updated. Since the last post Annee and Hayden wrapped up their basketball seasons, Heather played in her annual faculty basketball game, and progress has continued on the house. Annee and Hayden's last BB games were on the 27th (of February). The girl's game was pretty physical but Annee did a nice job. Hayden's team again did quite well. He made pretty big strides this year. We are making the move to the County Parks and Rec league next season which will be a 3rd and 4th grade league. Baseball and softball will be starting in a few weeks. Briarwood had their March Madness last Thursday. This year the teachers played a team from Natcher Elementary. Briarwood prevailed by one. Annee was sick so Hayden was the only one there to cheer Heather on. I have had numerous reports that she did quite well. Grandma Connee is coming to visit this week and celebrate A&H's birthdays. Hayden is having his party on Saturday and Annee is having hers on Sunday. We are working on finalizing details of kitchen and bathroom cabinets. Below are pictures of the progress on the house. The windows and doors are in!
